Abby loves her piggies!

I just had to post these cute pics of Abby taking care of her piggies. Most girls her age are probably into dolls. It is all PIGS for Abby. She loves to feed and love on her pigs. They even have a basket where they sleep. She takes care and pats their backs and gives them a blankie! It is really quite cute. She will come to me and tell me if Wilbur is scared or if his tummy hurts. SHe is a good little mommy to her pigs!

Day trip to the Tennessee Aquarium

THis weekend we decided to take the kids to the aquarium in Chattanooga! We have never been! The kids had a wonderful time! I think their favorite part was petting the sting rays! I personally loved the penguins! Jack and Abby have already asked to go back again! As you can see they were exhausted form the experience and slept most of the way home!

March SNOW!

The kids enjoyed the 2 inches of snow we got Saturday night! I think Jack enjoyed it more than Abby! He had a blast playing with all of his trucks, throwing snow balls and making snow men. I think his favorite was the hot chocolate after coming in tired from playing!

On a completely different note, Abby turned 23 months on Monday. Hard to believe she will soon be TWO! We have been talking about her party a lot lately. I think she is excited. The girl loves birthdays because that means CAKE! Stay tuned for more details on Abby's birthday!

On a completely different note, yet again, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers in regards to my job. I am happy to say I made it again through the cuts. Even better, I get to stay part-time! YEAH! Thank you, Lord! Prayers answered!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We want to wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Ours has been fun so far! The kids went the the Benton House nursing home to sing to the residents! They made Valentine for them as wel. It was very sweet. Jack did a great job going around singing and dancing with the residents! I got some pictures but I admit I spent most of the time chasing Abby down the halls. All she was inteserested in were the birds and suckers! Tonight we are hsoting a party for Russ and Grayson! Should be fun! I will post pics if I get any cute ones! Have a great day!

January!!!

It has been awhile since I have posted! January went by fast! Honestly, we did not do much exciting. I am going to post some of the pics I took through out the month.

One Saturday afternoon, my nephew, Will, came over to play and the kids had a BLAST! I think Abby was the most excited! She kept trying to get Will to come play with her - "Will. Will Will come here..." ! Too cute! They are only 4 months apart! Will needs to come see us more often!

John and I have also been training for the Music City Half Marathon. It has been going well! We are running 7 miles this weekend! There is a picture of Abby below wearing my ear warmers! She found it, put it on and came RUNNING into the kitchen and did laps through the house. We thought that was adorable!

February should be an interesting month. There is SO much change going on at my work and everything "new" will start March 1. We will go through the last round of lay offs Feb. 26th! Keep us in your prayers! I hope to make it through yet another round! Will keep you posted! Have a fabulous February!!

Santa was good to us!

We had a rough Christmas eve day, but we were able to have fun and enjoy our Christmas together! Christmas Eve was really fun! We went to church at 4 and headed home to our freshly baked turkey! The Fullers came over as well as Russ and Grayson and we had had a yummy dinner with great company! Santa was VERY generous to Jack and Abby. When Jack walked downstairs, all he could talk about was the fact that he could not believe Santa did not eat ALL of his cookies and milk!!!! Then suddenly he realized there were many toys left behind! Of course, he found his most asked for gift - Darth Vader!!! Abby was more interested in the chocolate for the first hour! Then she discovered her sweet kitchen and new doll! We played for a few hours and then had a family breakfast and Kathryne, Jon, JC and BeBe came to join the fun! After nap time we headed to Columbia for more Christmas celebrating! It was a fun but tiring day!!! Hope you all had a great Christmas! We are truly blessed and we are thankful!!
